#RunForGav

An annual running event held in memory of our friend Gavin Pugh, who we lost to suicide in August 2019. It is held to remember Gav and others lost to suicide, and to highlight how big an issue suicide & mental health is.

2024 will be the 6th #RunForGav. The event is timed to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day which is held 10th September each year.

The concept is simple – run or walk any distance on or soon after 10th September, wearing something red, and share it on social media with the hashtag #runforgav.

We would really appreciate it if you could take some pics and share them on social media using the hashtag #runforgav.

The main aims of this yearly event are simply:

To remember Gavin and anyone who you may have lost to suicide.
To raise awareness of the continuing problem of suicide.
